For the people holding it all together

    AlwaysHere is for Families

    Which family is yours?

Maybe you are supporting your adult son or daughter with autism or IDD. Maybe you are checking on a parent who lives alone. Many of our families are doing both at once. Either way, AlwaysHere gives your loved one a patient voice to talk to every day, and gives you visibility without hovering.

You are covered, not replaced. It handles the repetition so you can be their family, not their alarm clock.

Free. No credit card. We set up the account and our AI voice calls your phone.

For adults with autism or IDD

    AlwaysHere for Autism & IDD

A voice companion that speaks plainly, supports routines and decisions, and respects the adult on the other end of the phone.

Support that does not ask someone to perform.

Illustration of an adult sitting comfortably at home, enjoying a phone conversation

    Plain communication

Concrete language, one question at a time, and time to process.

    Adult autonomy

A legal choice someone else would not make is not automatically an emergency.

    Calls and texts

Optional text messages carry routines, reminders, and the things worth remembering.

    Family visibility

Recaps and alerts without turning the relationship into surveillance.

    How it talks

Plainly. Patiently. Never trying to fix him.

These rules are written into every companion and enforced on our servers. No conversation can talk it out of them. Here is what they mean, and what they sound like.

    01

    It speaks plainly.

No idioms, no hints, no reading between the lines. One question at a time, and never a leading yes-or-no. It offers a choice instead.

    Shoes first, or keys first?

    02

It never asks him to mask.

No coaching eye contact, no hiding stimming, no advice to act “more normal.” It adapts to how he communicates, not the other way around.

You can rock while we talk. I’m listening.

    03

When he’s overwhelmed, it goes quiet with him.

Shorter words, no questions, no demands. It waits, and it never chases silence.

I’m here. You don’t have to say anything.

    06

    It doesn’t take one “yes.”

On anything that matters, it asks again, a different way. The same answer twice is the real answer.

Just to be sure: did the pill go in, or is it still on the counter?

    09

    He’s an adult.

A choice you wouldn’t make is not an emergency. It says what it thinks, plainly, and then lets it be.

    I don’t think that’s right. It’s your call. I’m still here.

    11

If it texts you, it tells him.

In the very next thing it says. It never denies an alert it sent.

I’ve let your mom know. That’s what we agreed.

    Ways families pay for AlwaysHere

Eligibility is decided by your program and your case manager, not by us. We prepare the paperwork either way.

If your loved one already has a Medicaid waiver or self-directed budget, it may be able to pay for AlwaysHere. Families also use ABLE accounts, special needs trusts, HSA or FSA accounts, and caregiver programs. On your call we will help you sort out what fits and prepare the recommendation letter your case manager needs. We invoice your FMS on request.

No baby talk, no correcting her memory in a way that shames her. Dignity is the default.

    FAQ

    Questions families ask

Will they know they are speaking to AI?

Families introduce the companion during onboarding, so the person knows from the first call what it is and who set it up. Many families give it a name of their own, like mom bot or dad bot, or the name of someone familiar. The companion never claims to be a human being. Every companion starts with a warm, neutral voice, and a familiar voice is optional, added only with the person's agreement, and removable at any time.

    Is this replacing me?

Never. It handles the repetition so you can be their family instead of their alarm clock. You decide what it reminds them about and when it brings you in. For the days you cannot, never instead of you.

What is the first call like?

Fifteen minutes on Zoom with Josh, the founder. You tell him the hardest part of your loved one's day. He tells you plainly whether AlwaysHere would help. If you want, he sets up a quick account and has our AI voice call your phone right there — not a cloned family voice, our voice — so you hear exactly how it would speak to them. You can hear it on the call; your loved one can start calling back once you choose a plan. No credit card, no commitment. If it is not right for your family, he will say so.

Do I have to set it all up myself?

Once you start, we book a 45 minute setup call. You, us, and your loved one. We learn their routine and what calms them, they meet the companion and choose what to call it, and it makes its first call while we are all on the line. This is included, and it is why families stay.

Can a familiar voice be used?

Every companion starts with a warm, neutral voice. A familiar voice is optional, is added only with the person’s agreement, and can be removed at any time.

Could funding help pay for this?

Sometimes. If your loved one has a Medicaid waiver or self-directed budget, it may cover AlwaysHere as assistive technology. ABLE accounts, special needs trusts, and HSA or FSA accounts are other options. See our funding guide at /funding. We can provide a plain-language recommendation letter for your case manager.

    Start with a conversation

Fifteen minutes, and you will know.

Tell Josh the hardest part of the day. Hear how the companion would handle it, on your own phone. If it is not right for your family, he will say so.
